Your Role: An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for a talented Health and safety technician to join our team in Irvine. You will be joining a fast paced, busy, rapidly expanding business. As the health and safety technician your main responsibilities will include demonstrating the ability to assist in the permit to work process for all work conditions, the validation of all necessary information that is provided for permits. Managing, monitoring, and validating permits across the site and reviewing area-specific information on contractor RAMS, as well as providing support, giving guidance and advice to others writing and issuing permits. Other key responsibilities but not solely limited to will include managing systems including working at height and lifting equipment control, ladder inspections and fire extinguisher maintenance.

Who you are:

  • Relevant demonstratable Industry experience from and Engineering, Process or EHS background supported by an HND/Degree or experience in a recognised discipline.
  • Working to or have obtained NEBOSH or IOSH Certification.
  • Knowledge of ISO45001 and ISO9001 standards.
  • An individual with good attention to detail and strong work ethic. (self-starter)
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislations and procedures around PUWER, LOLER.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail & strong prioritisation skills.
  • Hands on industrial experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and influence.
  • The ability to understand and analyse complex information and present it simply and accurately.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality in matters involving safety investigations.
  • Enthusiastic and passion for EHS.
