iScale Technician - Evening, limited on 12 month

Your Role: an exciting opportunity has become available for an iScale Technician to join our team in Haverhill.  As our iScale Technician, you will support the synthetic manufacturing of milligram to gram quantities of custom DNA primers and probes.  You will operate and maintain DNA manufacturing instrumentation, perform quality control checks (quantification, visual checks, etc.), purification of custom DNA, QC sample preparation, perform post-synthesis modifications, record data on QMS paperwork or electronically with accurate information.

Who You Are:

• Degree educated, in a Chemistry/Biochemistry (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience is required
• Experience of working in a similar environment (laboratory/ bio tech / hi tech manufacturing) is essential
• Experience in HPLC & purification platforms is desirable

• Experience in Synthetic Chemistry and purification of Biomolecules is desirable

• Knowledge of LIMS, as well as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or similar QMS would be desirable

• Ability to prioritise own workload with excellent attention to detail
• Have a proactive approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in the use of computer-based systems
