Your task:

The Innovation Center located in Darmstadt/Germany is looking for a new Team Member who will support one of our key strategic innovation projects. We are in the process of developing and commercializing a revolutionary technology of chemical analysis of unknown compounds. You will be responsible for working with global lead customers to understand their requirements in detail and help them in applying this technology that requires a substantial body of specialized know-how. Your contribution will be essential for driving early adoption of our technology and initial ramp-up of this developing business. In close coordination with our technical team, you will design frameworks, media and tools for the transfer of technical know-how (such as manuals, picture material, demonstration movies, IT-based tools etc.), get these tools produced by professional providers, and continuously improve them through field trials with pilot customers. In coordination with our colleagues from the Life Science Business Sector, you would also support early sales and marketing, e.g. through information and promotion materials and conference presentations. Your initial onboarding will include thorough practical training in this new technology in our labs, which will also provide a thorough interface with our technical team.

Who you are:

• M.Sc. in chemistry, preferably analytical chemistry, with desirably at least 1-3 years of professional experience, or a PhD degree in chemistry. Knowledge of single-crystal X-ray diffraction would be a plus
• Fluent command of spoken and written English
• Attention to detail and precision of expression
• You should enjoy interactions with customers and be passionate about making them successful in their respective applications. Therefore, teaching or didactic experience of any kind would be considered a plus
• In addition, you should be interested and creative in designing and piloting know-how transfer tools of any type that will be helpful to customers, including innovative and social media. Any relevant experience of that type should be mentioned in your job application
