PURPOSE OF THE ROLE (high level summary)
To design, deliver and lead process improvement and Business Analytics to support the Customer Excellence teams and ensure best in class performance. To engage audiences, influence at all levels and drive continuous improvement across the company. To consistently promote the philosophy and values of the Customer Excellence organization.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate process (re)design workshops by eliciting business requirements and liaising with end-users.
- Analyse process holistically to understand it's value to end-users as well as potential impact of change.
- Identify, implement and monitor new approaches or solutions to ensure business requirements are met.
- Create and sustain process documentation.
- Provide training and coaching to process end-users to ensure best change management.
- Benchmark best practices within the Customer Excellence organization.
- Interact with end users and management to understand business needs, requirements, and collect feedback on process performance.
- Report System bugs to Business Technology and facilitate any system changes by performing thorough regression and standard testing.
- Drive, participate or propose improvement actions and projects to support the Customer Excellence teams and ensure best in class performance.
- Act as a role model to successfully drive change throughout the Customer Excellence organization.
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE (minimal requirements) EDUCATION/LANGUAGES
- 3-6 years professional experience in a customer facing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in business management or related business or education fields is preferred.
- Fluent in English, other EU languages are preferred.
PROFESSIONAL & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experienced working in a diverse team.

- Strong coaching and communication skills with ability to develop and motivate people.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to track and monitor key priorities.
- Be analytical and result driven.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of ERP's (SD module): Oracle, SAP.
- Knowledge of CRM: Salesforce.com .
- Be a role model for the Merck values, have a positive outlook demonstrating enthusiasm and a passion for inspiring others.
- Proven experience with business process design and implementation.
- Familiarity/experience with change management.
- Experience in business analytics or training is a plus.
- Commercial attitude, understanding of area market needs.
- Network, communicate and negotiate with peers, higher management and team members in an appropriate way.
- Project leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to make decisions.
- Excellent understanding of the tools and processes of the Customer Excellence teams.
- Proven experience with business process design and implementation.
