Your role: This is a laboratory-based position encompassing a range of biological disciplines (cell culture, Virology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology). Projects may include custom client testing, new service introduction, test method development, validation and equipment performance qualification. You will be encouraged to maintain detailed workbooks and ensure that documentation fulfils accepted professional and industry standards. You will be responsible for making scientific observations related to test data, interpreting results and reporting conclusions for projects. You will have broad base knowledge and understanding across the disciplines and will be expected to be technically proficient with minimal supervision. Additional responsibilities will include laboratory housekeeping, preparation of reagents, stock control and general equipment maintenance. The ability to maintain effective working relationships with the wider organisation will be crucial for success in the role.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Biological Science discipline.
- Minimum 1 years' post-graduate research or industry experience in a scientific laboratory role.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (GLP/GMP) advantageous.
- Proficient in a range of laboratory techniques, including microscopy, aseptic technique, cell culture, and molecular methods.
- Self-motivated, with strong initiative.
- Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills.
- Be curious and troubleshooting oriented
